Violet sits between blue and purple, deep enough to feel rich and cool enough to stay calm. It is one of the harder colours to use across a whole wall, so it often arrives through glass, fabric or a single painted piece. When light passes through violet glass it softens the colours around it and cools a warm room. It pairs with amber and cobalt in jewel-toned schemes, and with pale grey and bone when you want it quieter. Keep the bulbs warm so it never turns cold.
