Wine

Wine sits at the darker end of the reds, close to the colour of a full glass held up to a lamp. It is richer than burgundy and cooler than oxblood, and it brings a sense of evening into a room at any hour. Use it in large doses where a space should feel enclosed: a snug, a hallway, the wall behind a bed. Against it, pale pink and bone look soft and clean, while plum deepens it further. Gloss finishes make it glow. Matt keeps it quiet.
